Brooks Sprint:5 km run - 20 km bike - 3 km run (Minimum Age 15) XOSIZE Dash: 2 km run - 10 km bike - 1 km run (Minimum Age 12)
Duathlon Race 3 Report
Over 100 competitors arrived at RW Stone Reserve, Somers to the sounds of birds chirping, sun shining and hardly no wind, all combining to present near perfect conditions for Race 3 of the 2011 Winter Duathlon series.
Competitors started arriving around 7am and after registering started racking their bikes in the tranisition area.
At 8:45, MPTC Race Director Brian Vernon conducted his race briefing for all competitors starting off with the Sprint and then the Dash.
At the stroke of 9am, the sprint competitors were off and running and 4 minutes later, the Dash competitors were sent on their way.
Feedback from competitors that it was a fantastic venue and many people stated that they will certainlly be back for next years race.
